# Publish your page to Shopify

> Publish a page to your store, update it, view it live, and unpublish it.

When your page is ready, publish it to your Shopify store in a few clicks. You can keep editing and update it at any time.

## Publish a page

**1. Click Publish**

In the top bar, click **Publish**. The **Publish to Shopify** dialog opens.

**2. Follow the button**

The main button tells you what is missing. It can read **Upgrade to Publish** (Free plan), **Connect Store**, **Select Store**, **Select Product & Publish** or **Publish page**.

**3. Wait for it to go live**

You see **Publishing to Shopify**, then **Your page is live** with **View live page** and **Copy link**.

Product pages need a linked product. See [Page settings](https://docs.ecomwize.io/publish/page-settings.md).

## Update a published page

Once a page is live, the top bar button reads **Update**. Make your edits, click **Update**, then **Update page**. The dialog also shows **Open theme editor**, **View live page** and when the page was last published.

If **Edit content in Shopify** is on, open **Advanced options** and turn on **Overwrite content edited in Shopify** to replace edits made in the theme editor.

## Publishing limits by plan

| Plan | Published pages |
| - | - |
| Free | Cannot publish |
| Starter | 10 (shown as **Published Pages N / 10**) |
| Pro | Unlimited |
| Max | Unlimited |

Updating a page that is already published does not count toward the limit. See [Plans](https://docs.ecomwize.io/billing/plans.md).

## View the live page

Click the globe icon **View live page** in the top bar, or use **View live page** in the publish dialog.

## Unpublish a page

Go to your Pages list, open the row menu of the page and click **Unpublish**. See [Manage pages](https://docs.ecomwize.io/create/manage-pages.md).

## Republish after changing your theme

> If you switch your Shopify theme, republish your pages so they appear on the new theme.

## Turn on the app embed

Bundles, the cart drawer and app widgets need the EcomWize app embed turned on in your theme. See [App embed](https://docs.ecomwize.io/publish/app-embed.md).
